October: Breast Caner Awareness

As we read in the ad above, one of my personal favorites, it explains how october is the national breast cancer awareness month. To support this, I have changed the blog's header to two chairs.

Each chair represents a woman, the concept of it.. is that we should support women those going through hard times. Just like the chair supports us, just like when we sit on chairs that are right next to each other we chat and give each other advise. Lets make sure these women are never alone.

Calligram: Rosalía De Castro

This calligram is the face of Rosalía De Castro, a spanish poet and novelist. The text are four quotes of hers:

1.“I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.”

2.“Happiness, I do not know where to turn to discover you on earth."

3.“After God, long live wine.”

4.“Great breakthroughs are always followed by great catastrophes”

For some weird reason I like the blank & white version better.

I have probably put this verse before, I am really not sure :P I have posted this, because I needed it to badly, I needed to hear from God. And I know he put this right there for me to bump into it again :) and I know He has re-affirmed His promise, for my future! I know He knows my heart, I just hope he grants me this other prayer :D however, whatever happens... I know its because he knows whats best for me! I love Him.

Conceptualisation of Perfume Commercial

One of my school projects consists of creating a perfume ad. We were assigned a song, and I was given "Wouldn't it be Nice" by The Beatles. Great song I can't complain. However, maybe not too ideal for a perfume commercial. I created this flower, exotic, attractive, spontaneous and adding a little of cuban feel to it. Because the song to me represents this loud, friendly cuban girl named Elena. She basically always wears this flower on her hair! This is still all a sketch and unfinished, I am very excited to see the finished product!

PERFECTING the Graphite Sketch of a Seal

 If you follow my blog regularly you will clearly see the evolution of the seal:) which is incredible. This sketch has completely taught me that being satisfied, is the end of the road... you gatta keep going! Click here to check out the seal a couple of weeks ago.

Johan De Moor (visits Costa Rica)

I had the privilege to participate at Johan De Moor's conference, here in Costa Rica. It was outstanding do see him interact and describe his comic strips. He is a comic character himself, so that when he reads his strips adds so much more personality! Love it. So, I'll leave this images for you to be amazed by :)

Fashion Week #7 - BALMAIN, V&R, C.DIOR

I would obviously start with the AWESOME, GENIUS  of fashion Balmain... So a year ago I had the chance to see one his pieces live, and I tried on one of his outstanding jackets... I was blown away! I guess you would understand why he is my favorite :) just look at this collection! its genius, complete, ahhhh i want it. Its just a great abstraccion of cowboy look.
